Thousands Experiencing Electricity in Queensland and Victorian Regions Following Severe Storms
Approximately 25,000 homes in south-east Queensland were left without power on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the state, generating wind gusts hitting 109km/h.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Broad Destruction
Residents reported substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities confirmed that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Response teams were focused on reestablishing energy supply throughout the damaged zones, with approximately seventy teams working to manage the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victorian Weather Woes
At the same time, approximately 1,000 residents in Victoria also faced power outages after the metropolitan area experienced its most precipitation in 18 months.
Emergency response teams handled nearly 600 calls for help across the state, mostly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

At the height on the previous day, more than 28k power users in Victoria were without power.
Weather Forecast
Moist weather were predicted to continue along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a atmospheric system continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tomorrow was expected to become the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across multiple regions of both areas.
Health Warning
Health officials warned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the current weather patterns.
